Clean and DRY. clean with a solvent then wipe with a moist towel that ONLY has water on it. most solvents leave residue. allow the water to dry.

What demon said, but i will add a lil bit. Make sure your tank spotless. I will us a clay bar or alternative if there is any stuck on debris in the area. Wash the area with dawn dish soap ( that will take off any wax type protectant). Then i again clean it up with rubbing alcohol, and make sure its dry with a clean lint free towel. When your gonna apply it make sure bike is in the shade and not too hot, around70 F is ideal.

Dont know if this will help but I also held it behind my exhaust for a min to soften the pad so it mould to the tank when I was putting it on. It made it easy to get all the edges down and sticking.

yea heat the sucker up before applying...also cutting the edges so they are rounded will help prevent lifting.

I had the same problem with two tank pads. Then I decided to go with this http://www.thetankslapper.biz/online...store/main.htmand haven't had any issues since I bought it in November. I mainly went with this so because you can remove it and put it back on and it's almost unnoticeable. I agree with everyone else here on the fact that it helps to heat the it up before you stick it on. I used a hair dryer.

My next tank pad will be that invisible film that you put on the front of cars. Invicta-shield is one name, but there are a few others. I have it on my S2000 and you can barely see it.
