Default Which tank bag or luggage ?

Hi guys my 600fk is finished and will be on the road next week hoorah, I sold a Deauville I bought a year ago rode once didn't like it and e bayed it after 100 miles, lost £500 but got enough to get the cbr on the road.

My question is on these early bikes there is no fuel cap mounting bolts or anything to secure a tank bag to rigidly and I cant locate a rack designed to fit a 1989 bike for a top box so has anyone any experience of fitting luggage to this bike ? if so what ? I know baglux covers are an option but haven't seen one in my blue white red colours or in clean condition.
Looking at Kappa magnetic tank bag if anyone used one all feedback appreciated cheers AL.

Ps. I'm planning a few days away ride to Cornwall and want to be able to have a change of clothes and basic stuff with me it's a trek from HULL.

I've used magnetic tank bags for as long as I can remember. Never had an issue with them. My bikes have all had metal tanks though. If you have a polycarbonate one, then straps are going to be the way to go. I use soft saddle bags as well when I go on longer trips.

+1 On the magnetic tank bag and throw over panniers, works great.

Any magnetic tank bag will do, as for the saddlebags they generally fit under the seat with a strap over the top and are additionally anchored to the passenger foot-pegs along with a loop around the tail light, certainly mine are and are not going anywhere.

My saddle bags go entirely over the panier portion of the seat and attach similarly to foot pegs and under the rear fender. Ours are an earlier version of these.

Just to respond to replies given I have purchased a set of oxford sports lifetime luggage soft panniers and humpback tank bag they are all great and will do the job fine however the humpback bag came with strap on type fittings and the magnetic base had a different zip to the bag so I ordered a " hump back", specific base expecting there to be a difference to the one supplied if not then mines probably a second but will work around it. The first used oxford bag I received was a second it had been zipped up full length out of alignment and wouldn't undo, some people are just not on the level with You when selling stuff so a refund in progress on e bay. Thanks for Your replies, AL.
