I would recomend a waterproof backpack instead - you can fit more stuff in it :-)

I dont know how waterproof it has I have always had good luck but I have a joe rocket tank bag Im selling. I have the shoulder strap and "waterproof cover" It is a urban camo type print and black. It has 3 pockets one very large, one for like smokes and wallet, and one with a clear section in it for a cell phone or mp3. Paid 50 take 20 plus shipping.

Hey,
Don't know how much you are looking to carry, but I have a Teknics magnetic tank bag and Teknics speedstar saddle bags.
They both come with built in rain covers. The saddle bags are made for sport bikes and look ok. the blinkers interfear a little. The Tank bag can handle school books, jacket/ light rain suit, lunch, ect. It also hastwo layers that zips off if you don't need that much storage. I love my bags and don't ever use a backpack any more if I can help it. These bags allow me to make deliveries on my bike for my wife's embroidery business.(Towels, purses, scrubs, bags, uniforms, ect.) Plenty of space.

I got a great deal on the bay $90 for both shipped from bikepartsoutlet both listed with a buy it now for $40. Can't beat it man.
280187167623 # for the tank bag
300193233361 # for saddle bag

Don't let the pics fool you they are bigger than they look.

I'm looking for something non magnetic... I seen one with straps that you could attach the bag to the tankand detach it from the straps. The straps would stay on the bike.

here is another option for you also. Rear mounted luggage rack, keeps your body free of a backpack and won't create a discomfort while riding on the tank on the highways.

Here is something else that I found. Depending on how much you want to carry, this might work too.

Seems like tourmaster makes a nice bag. I bought a rain suit from them today.
