Hi everyone -

I did a search on 'swapping parts' and couldn't find an answer. I have a 2005 600rr with some front end damage. I was able to locate basically everything I need but all the parts are coming from a 2006. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if these parts will fit on a 2005.

Forks
Triple tree (upper/lower)
Headlight assembly
Subframe

Hi. Not absolutely certain whether the later forks will fit, but I shouldn't have thought Honda would have changed them for one year. If you have a local Honda dealer nearby, I would call in and ask one of their mechanics for their advise. You could simply carefully compare one set with the other and take some measurements to see how similar they are or offer them up to the headstock and see if they fit. If they are complete with top and bottom yokes and the bearings are the same, I can't see it being a problem. Do you know anyone who has a Haynes manual for your bike? They usually cover a lot of different models and it will say if there were any changes to the forks in the appropriate section.

all you'll ever need buddy as far as front end questions go, and in answer to your question, yes'll they'll fit

 

sorry to resurrect this, but I am still trying to piece together this wrecked 600. I have found some people on craigslist parting out 1000s. Does anyone know if small parts are interchangeable - like the foot pegs, gear shift, levers..etc.. how about the subframe.

05 and 06 is interchangable years . i just put 05 forks upper and lower triple and steering stem on my 06. if you need any parts hollar at me i have a hole bunch of spare stuff ive accumulated . just pm me
