Default stripped spark plug hole

is there any way to get the spark plug to stay in without droping 700 to fix it and getting aluminum in the engine

The best thing to do at home requires some work that'll keep you busy for a min but it's possible. I'm not tellin you to do this...but if it were my bike, here's what I'd do. Pull the head off the engine, tap the threads with the same size tap; if the hole is way out of round I would use a heli-coil(not proven to hold compression) and thread lock, replace the head gasket, re-install the head and do a cylinder leak down test. I know this is not professional at all but beats the hell out of buying a new head. Good luck.

That makes sense. You would still need to pull the head to machine the plug/head sealing surface or not? Right? or not?
