Default State Motorcycle Laws

I've noticed some posts here lately that pose questions about state-specific motorcycle laws.
Here's a linkie to the AMA state laws db.

Thanks for the reminder. It just takes a second to look and and refresh yourself and you might learn something that you were not aware, I would encourage everyone to take the time and look up their state.

Pretty good info. The AZ section is accurate, except for one item as it relates to the height of the handle bars. The statute has changed, and is no longer 15" from the undepressed riders seat. It now states that the handlebars cannot be higher than the shoulders of the rider while sitting on the bike. Neither one really affects sport riders, though. I couldn't imagine a sport bike with "ape hangers".

Well Michigan's helmet law is out dated. It was just voted in yesterday that it was option to wear a helmet or not. Not sure why anyone wouldn't want to wear one, but personal choice.
