Sprocket mileage equation
Alright i have searched the forum and haven't found quit what i am looking for. I am curious if there is an equation for mileage loss with different sprocket set ups. Right now i currently only have -1 in the front and stock in the back. My bike reads high for mileage and it's too late to get a speedo healer since it never had the original sprockets on it from day one (i'm not the original owner). My question is if i ride 10 miles what does the odometer actually read for miles? Any info would be a great help.

yea i'm kind of in the same situation. i'm not sure how long mine has been sprocketed without a healer. the equation to figure out actual speed would be "your speed/16*15=actual road speed". you should be able to use that to help you figure out mileage loss, of course it won't be exact as the amount of error varies with speed.

I am not a math wiz by any sort of the imagination.. But thats a neat formula for the speed.. Though i am still lost with how many miles are actaully on my bike.. Right now it reads 30k.. i know i haven't put more then 2000 miles on it yet this season seaming it is just getting warm out!
(( (NewRear/NewFront) / (OldRear/OldFront) ) - 1) * 100 = % change
Looks like your new setup is reading 6.67% high (if my math is right). So just take current mileage and divide by 1.0667 to get correct mileage. So you're more likely at 28124.12 miles.
