Default Spring on shift star lever 954rr

Over in fireblade 954 forums there is great write up on shift drum/forks replace. I’m just installing factory pro shift kit and keep seeing different photos of how much preload to put on the shift star detent lever spring. Bacdoc’s post shows the spring tail at 11 o’clock position. I’ve seen other photos and instructions where the tail is on the drum bolt retainer boss at about 5 o’clock. Big difference in tension. It’s much easier to use 5 o’clock position because you don’t have to fight with the spring as much to install it. Photo #9 in that thread clearly shows the items I refer to. Anyone have insight on this issue?
