Default Spark Plug Wire Problem

Hi guys, I just changed my spark plugs and noticed that #4 wire is not seating onto the plug. The other 3 wires kind of pop on and off of the plugs but #4 just wont catch. Any suggestions? Will this cause the plug to not spark at all, and does that mean that I am missing a cylinder. Can i test it or just squeeze the contact point inside the wire to form a better bond? the old plug was dark so I can tell that it was working for at least a little bit but I do not know if it is working at the current moment and I don't want to break anything.

Thanks!

Try and work out why it's not seating on the plug. Is it broken (the metal clip - or just been 'stretched'. If it just looks like it has opened up a bit, gently try to squeeze it closed with some long nosed pliers.

Cheers, SB

yea the inside looks like the others. I do not think it is broken. Almost looks like some one replaced it and just put the wrong size wire back on so now it wont catch. I will try to squeeze it a tiny bit and see if it helps

Here's one from left field.

When you changed the plugs did they all have the little screw on nipple on top? Some brands they are removable - others not. It didn't fall off before the plug was put in?

The spark plug lead needs it there to hold onto the plug.

Cheers SB

nah the plug is fine. It was like that on the old plug as well. I will probably be firing the bike up tomorrow night or friday so I will try to see if it feels/sounds weird but I am not very sure what to look out for. It is also getting inspected this weekend so if no one thinks of anything then I will ask the mechanic.
