Like Trace said, and I'll agree.... I'm on an 05 600rr, not lowered, and I'm 5'4".

How often do you put your feet down?

It's a matter of comfort for some people.... like a false sense of security.. that if they can touch the ground, it is safer...

all being short means is that you have to get it in 1st gear before stopping at a light, no neutral... you hold in the clutch, keep your right foot on the peg and back brake, and your left leg on the ground, and just lean to the left a bit.

I really think it is like a sense of security thing, as if in the event that something goes wrong, being able to put your feet both flat on the ground is going to help you... come to the realization that it is not, I know I keep my feet on the pegs most of the time I am riding, and only stop when I have to.

Best of luck... Stay safe.

EXACTLY...THANKS STEVE MY FEELINGS EXACTLY, I HAVE CRASH BUNGS FOR THAT SENSE OF SECURITY...THE WORST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN FROM NOT BEING TALL ENOUGH IS YOU DROP IT WHILE ITS STATIONERY! BUT OTHER THAN THAT I GET ON AND RIDE,CONCENTRATE ON WHAT I WANT TO DO, AND NOT ON WHAT I DON'T WANT TO HAPPEN
I DID A TRACK DAY AT CADWELL PARK LAST YEAR AND THERE WAS A GIRL RACING (REALLY WELL) AND WHEN SHE RODE INTO THE PADOCK THE GUYS HAD TO CATCH HER AS SHE STOPPED COS SHE COULDN'T TOUCH THE FLOOR AT ALL!!!
