Default Shell Rotella T, again :)

Hey guys, Ive heard a lot of good about the Shell Rotella T (blue jug I believe?) and I would like to test it out.

Heres my question: What weight should I shoot for, whats good and whats bad, and which oil is it EXACTLY. Would hate to put an oil in that hasnt been tested to find out that it smokes the clutch and burns like woodchips

Thanks for any help guys,

Chris

I used the rotella before I got hooked on the mobil1 -- don't remember what color the jug was. Just know that it was 10w40 full synthetic. Stuff worked fine -- I'm just an oil snob lately.

For normal bike I use mobil1 10w40 -- I used the shell or mobil1 15w50 on my old turbo bike.

This may be a dead thread, but I just put Shell Rotella T the blue jug, 5w40 in my bike today, I THINK it's base is a group3, but it says synthetic... who knows, might be a full group 4 base. I based my decision here:

http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/Oils1.html

Bike runs good, haven't really taken it for a long ride yet.
