Default Rusty Gas Tank

Project bike had a dented up tank, so I picked up another one from same model (96' 900RR) but it's been sitting awhile now and has a pretty rusty inside.

Someone told me, that diluting Navy Jelly which dissolves rust with water I can fill the tank accordingly and get the effect without it burning past the rust into the tank's still good metal.

So, what are your thoughts? ever tried it? if it works?

If so, what would be a good mixture since this tank is rather big on gallons. Thanks!

You can always try electrolysis if you are up to it. Look it up on youtube and you will see what i mean. For my tank I am going to do the electrolysis treatment and maybe the evaporust as well just to make sure I get everything.
