Default rpm trouble

i have a 93 cbr and my rpm gauge is not working. i am trying to track down the problem but i do not know what make the gauge work. So do any one had this problem before.

Get a wiring diagram and go through it looking for frayed wires, shorts, bad connections/grounds. Start by checking fuses then check that your plugs are snugly together and finally just start going through the harness looking for trouble.

chec you wire harness as previously stated. check at the edapters to make sure the metal peices are in all the way and check at the back of the tach unit. most likely your hot or ground wire is shorted or disconected along the way.
