Default rivet type connecting link

I am noob to this, what kind of tool will I need to finish off the connection on the chain with a rivet type connecting link? I will have the chain cut for me. Any other tips will help!

I guess I am still wondering what a rivet type connecting link is... I am framiliar with master links on pedal bike chains that have like a "C" clip... Is there a possibility of chaing out a "rivet" type master link for a "C clip" master link??? so i dont have to spend 200$ on some tool?

I'm not sure why it's called a rivet, and the chainbreaker doesn't really "break" chains. The pins on the master link are slightly hollow. The chainbreaker has a little cone that goes into the hollow and flares-out the end of the pin. That holds the link-plate on just as a "C" clip does. I use the Motion Pro Jumbo tool which breaks chain, presses on the connecting link, and flares out the ends. Paid around $100, but somewhere I saw a plumber's tool that may flare out the end.

Either take your bike to the shop when you get the chain and pay them $10 to put the rivet link in or go buy a $5 clip on linke and clip it on yourself. Mine hasnt fallen off after 6 months and i ride pretty hard
