Unhappy Replacing exhaust cannister

I'm trying to replace my Yana Shiki slip on - is there a trick for getting it off? This will be the first exhaust I've ever replaced - I thought it would be straightforward. I removed all three bolts and tried pulling and twisting it off, and also prying it off, with no luck - I get some, but minimal movement. It actually seemed that the canister gave more than the mounting plate. Maybe some spray lubricant? I am willing to use an angle grinder if necessary. It's a 2002 CBR954 with stock headers. I'll take any suggestions.

Penetrating oil, and heat i.e. a torch. NOT at the same time. Spray the oil and let it penetrate to break up the rust, THEN heat it up a lil at the connection, you wanna heat the outter pipe without getting the inner too hot, and start pulling like hell. (with gloves on)

Red face Figured it out

I put the bolts back in part way and tapped on them with a hammer. Worked great.
