Default Rear sprocket removal question

I have a 1996 CBR900 and got my chain today so I am ready to put it on...One problem! How in the heck do you get the sprocket nuts off? Are they locking nuts and need to be replaced onced removed or am I going to ruin anything by putting lots of force on the wrench? Any help appreciated

thanks,
Jeff

The best way it to use an impact. No, you dont need new ones after you are done. They are on tight so be prepared.

keep them on the wheel then torque them off quickly or else they may strip...so like with huge sudden force you know? not like the constant GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR force...but like get a big breaker bar with your socket so you can have lots of leverage...and then one quick BAM to loosen it...then you're good.

it's probably installed by the same factory gorilla that puts on all of the oil filters
