ok...i jus got a 2007 cbr 600 with 3000 miles on it the battery is dead on it nutwhen jumped with a running car the bike will start but there sounds like something is ratteling in the motor or jumping around...the bike will only stay running if a hold the gas a lil but still will shut down was told he ran the bike with no oil he also said bikewas locked up but it starts for me...what could it be? and is it fixable?
Really can't say, there is just not enough information to go on. From the sounds of it though, it seems like you internal engine failure if the guy ran it without oil, and you hear noises... and it won't stay running unless its under throttle. that suggests there is enough interferance within the engine that the engine at idle doesn't have the power to keep it running.
No oil in the engine will destroy the bearings really quick. Also, the cams do not have bearings, they use the cylinder head itself as the bearing surface, so you can imagine if there isn't any oil, just how fast it will gull up the surfaces, which is probably what happened.
The only way to know if its fixable it to tear it apart. I would suspect a new head is needed, and all bearings replaced. Of course, this is only an assumption that the bike ran without oil, and the issues are stemming from that.

thanks for the reply....i am going to take the spark plug out and do a compression test on all the cylinders i thought that the rod broke....really dont know either...nut will post more after i do compression test on the cylinders also the bike has been sittin for almost 2 years now without starting at all....
Have you drained the oil to see if there is any contamination in it? I would be inclined to remove the valve cover and inspect the cams. The noise very well could be the cam walking inside the journal.
