Default Question: radiator flush.

So my F2 has been running noticeably hotter. The fan works, the water pump is fine, my cap seals, and I recently flushed coolant. My only other guess is my jets are a tiny bit on the lean side.

I am wondering- Can I run some soapy water through my system to loosen some gunk? The guy at autozone said not to run that Purple Power stuff through, but recommended soapy water. Should I run some other sort of chemical through, or is soapy water alright? How effective will this be? How long should I run it through? Is it even safe, or am I (autozone) way off?

Thanks for the help.

I've heard of people running soapy water through there cars to help flush them, but I've never had the ***** to do it....lol.
I don't really see why not if you could be sure to get it all out and you knew for sure that it wouldn't hurt aluminum at all.
I just always used a bunch of water.

Can I ruin anything while running water for a semi extended time? Like 15 minutes? Can I run with water in until my bike is fully warm, then wait and flush, and repeat until its clean water draining?

Do I have to use bottled water, or is faucet water alright?

When I flushed my system this year I ran 5 gallons of distilled water through it.

You'll be fine running water for that purpose. In the past in my vehicles I have used hose water. The safest bet if use some bottle purified water.

Use a mixture of distilled water and white distilled vinegar (just like cleaning a cofffee pot) - lather, rinse, repeat.
