Default Is this a problem with the battery or something else?

I just bought a 1993 CBR600 F2 and it had been sitting for well ove a year yet when the ignition was turned the lights and such came on and everything seemed fine. After a few start ups the battery died completely. I charged it for the recommended time and at the correct amperage yet when i was driving it would seem to just die on me not that it wasn't getting gas but like there was no spark. When it would die on the road it would be a gradual dying and not an abrupt halt? Any suggestions?

Agree. A battery will sit only so long before it will no longer take a full charge. Have it checked to be sure, but chances are almost 100% that it's dead.
