Default power issue

hey any body that can help me i am building a 2000 cbr929rr and i have the wiering harness ran and trying to see if i got power to my lights horn and gauge and blinkers but all i have power to is the gauge and all it does is show me the digital numbers but doesnt light up and i only get power to that wen i direct hook the ground to the ground going to the frame not if i hook it to the battery wat could be wrong

If the negative battery cable is properly grounded to the frame (tight and no corrosion) it should work at either location. What is the ohm reading on your multimeter from the negative battery post to this ground on the frame that you are using?
