This may be an incredibly stupid question, but are all Power Commander III's the same? The only difference is the mapping you load onto the unit? Basically what I'm asking is if I buy any PCIII and load my bikes maps on it, then it will work? Again sorry if this is dumb just trying to understand.

If you mean like buying a PC for a different model bike and it working on yours then NO, the PC itself is the same but the wiring harness is different. And you won't be able to wire it up
