Power Commander III question!
I recently bought a power commander III off ebay for 100 bucks shipped. After i had already bought it i realized it was an older model. Any idea if it is any better/worse than the newer style ones? and also i didnt see any maps on the power commander websites for a d&d exhaust, Anyone have and idea where to get one?
Is it just the III or the IIIr? I have a IIIr and it works just fine. It just use's a serial cable to hook to the computer instead of a usb. I'd just run the M108-016 map, its for a two brothers exhaust. But in my opinion two brothers and D&D are very similar. If that doesn't smooth it out to run better just keep playing with the maps till you find one that works good.
Not sure what you mean double that of the serial version. Maps are the same for both the III, IIIr and USB. The only main difference is the III won't tune ignition adjustment. The IIIr will let you have the option to tune Ignition adjustment and then the IIIr use's serial cord and IIIUSB use's the usb cord. That's really it. They don't make a big change till they came out with the pcV which is awesome but sadly they don't make it for our bikes. The IIIr and IIIusb are the same thing with different cords. Also of course, you can't add on the LCD screen to the IIIr or the III.

Hope this helps clear up your question
