Default need some help

i just bought a 98 cbr900rr the only deal is it has no front brakes... so i took it to my local bike shop to have them put brakes on it an they tell me that the forks has been changed.but they couldnt tell me what year forks they were so now im in the dark is there any way to tell what year bike the forks came off of ?..... and my back tire is a 180/55zr17 an my front is a 130/70zr16 is is that right ? are they suppose to have the same rim sizes? any ifo will be appreciated thanks

I can't give you any info on the forks. However, the tire size is correct for what sizes it originally came with.

If you have a bike salvage yard in your area I'll bet they can identify your forks. They see a lot of forks every day.

A few pictures of your forks would help identify them.
