Default Possible Ignition Switch Problem?

02 F4i with original headlights, bulbs, and wires. Started the bike tonight to head home and had no headlights, no low or high beams; turn signals, tail, and brake lights work fine. After letting it run for a couple of minutes while I looked around and wiggled some wires with no results I turned the bike off. After a few minutes I started it and had both headlights working. Any thoughts as to the cause? thx

Default Additional Info

Had some time this morning for a closer look. I'm now thinking the problem may be with the starter switch. When the switch lever is released after starting I can hear what sounds to be the (switch) contacts clicking after a brief delay and then headlights come on. Maybe the headlight circuit interrupt is sticky or going bad?

........After some forum searching, it seems like the starter switch could be the problem, hopefully just in need of a cleaning. Any advice on disassembling?

Sticky starter switch confirmed, a small squirt of spray lubricant solved the problem.

That'll do it. A little spray to the rescue. Good you figured it out, I don't know how this one went unnoticed. Sorry man.
