Default Ignition Switch Problem

I have a 95 CBR F3 and I was performing all my annual maitenance, charging the battery , changing the oil, you know the typical stuff. I turn the key and nothing, no lights, no gauges, I mean nothing. so I start from the battery and work my way to the ignition. I would say i figured it out but I called the local service dept. and talked to a tech who said it sounds like an ignition switch. I giggled the key and the lights came on and the bike cranked up. It would run and then total power outage, I would giggle the key and the power would come on again. I am posting all this for two reasons1.) If you are experiencing the same problem then your ignition switch needs replacing and 2.) What are the normal prices for the replacement ignitions and does anyone knowwho sells them? Thanks, I hope you guys can help

I would take the ignition switch assembly out and attempt to clean it with some spray contact cleaner. It's not that difficult to get the ignition switch out to where you can work with it. I don't know of any aftermarket companies that make ignition switches. Good luck with it.
