Default Plug reolacement

When replaceing plugs, better to remove when engine is warm, or cold, or no diffetence ? Heard horror stories of theads coming out with plug. Also , o.k. to put a dab of anti-seize on threads of new plug to prevent problems?

I prefer to do it with a cold engine. I like the skin on my hands and arms. I honestly don't think it makes any difference. Having the right tools makes it a more enjoyable task. A couple universals and extensions of different lengths are needed. Always make sure you have a socket that is designed for sparkplugs. It will have a rubber boot in it which grabs the plug as you lift it out of the engine. Otherwise you will get frustrated, I promise.

Default Plugs

Thanks. Know what u mean about socket. Had issues on cars where I had to slip a length of fuel line over end of plug to remove/ install due to limited access.
