Pilot Power and Pilot Power 2CT
So I went in to get some tires today and the guy told me that if I get the PP 2CT I am just going to ruin them for regular street use. I said "aren't they the dual compound tire with the harder rubber in the middle for longer life riding on freeways and such?" He looked at me totally clueless and said "yea I guess but you'll just ruin them for regular street use, unless you're doing a lot of track days."
So is he right? Are the 2CT's going to get all shredded up when I use them for my every day riding? I wanted to punch the guy in the mouth because he was retarded.

no, the only difference is the 2ct is better for more lean angle, has a softer compound on the shoulders of the tire, and maybe a little more sticky. if you don't use your full tire then you won't need the 2ct, just stick with the normal PP's, but if u want more grip and feel like u could lean more then get the 2ct's. someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

My understanding on this tire from what I've read and people have talked about is that they will wear better in the center for highway riding, long straight roads. I do a lot of commuting and like I said my Dunlops are flat in the center. Will the 2CT's eliminate that problem that I'm currently having? If so then the extra money is nothing and I'd surely go for them. If that's not what it's for then I'm not going to spend the extra money.

i think there was some titanium tires he wanted you to buy. best wear for street use...but asphalt must be replaced every 5K miles.
all tires will be ruined for any use...but that's what they are made for...
unless you're bling bling and wear tires around you phat gold chain next to ice.
