Default PC3 question

So i installed a pc3, cant get it tuned for a couple weeks. I guess i maybe should not have put it in but i seem to run really rich. Anyhow i tried a map that should be close, now let it run and seems lean and running really warm. So when the bike is running and there is the set of green lights on the left side of the pc, bottom lean, middle-0, top rich. When idleing its on the bottom green, when give it gas i only get 3 lights up, may i assume thats a bit too lean and somewhat unsafe? Where is ideal ( i mean with what i can do map wise for now anyhow, i take it middle is good?

That is the meter for the throttle position sensor. When idling, it should be all the way at the bottom, but at wide open throttle, it should be all the way at the top, or close to it. You can use the software to reset the TPS if it is not as stated.

You go up to Power Commander Tools, and then to Set Throttle Position. Hope that helps.

OOOOOOOOO i was way off in my thinking then. I guess for now i will reset that then, and try a few other maps that pull less fuel then the one i have loaded now.

Good luck btw. I am on my second map now. The first one I tried was really touchy in the low rpms, and now I am happy with it. I need tostop being lazyand get a custom tune, but I don't trust anyone around here. Our big dealer in town has been bought bythe Harley dealer here, so I will wait a while.

Yea the one i put in seems to run really good, and there seems to be no loss of power, i just happened to notice the bike runs real hot now, so i am figurin its too lean, and no more carbon from tailpipe at all. So gonna richen it just to be safe i think.

I know on mine... though I still need to have it custom dyno'd, on about any map I use, idle is at the bottom, I "blip" or even "max" the throttle (for a quick second/blip) and it will only go to the middle. The middle, I think, is what you want anyways... that should be an "equal" air/fuel ratio.

What map are you using? A custom map? What mods? (any internals, full/slip-on, air filter, etc)
