Default Oil recommendations

My CBR600RR is due for it's first oil change and since I'm a pretty handy gal, 😉 I'm going to change it myself. I'm used to larger equipment a like trucks and tractors so I figure this can't be any more difficult. But I'm not sure what kind/brand of oil would best suit my ride. Can I get some suggestions from y'all? Thanks 😘

Oh no! Not another oil thread.....
There are plenty, and they usually end poorly with all the opinions.

Truth is, oil is oil. Brand doesn't matter and most weights will work fine. Synthetic or not is up to you as its not required.

What is important is that its oil designed for the bikes wet clutches. Look for the JASO-MA certification in the list on the back. Most car oils are not, stay away from them. Some diesel oils like Rotella are, so those are okay to use. If you are familiar with trucks and tractors like you say, you may have some you can use already. Hell, some guys take their used bike oil and put it in their trucks!

Sorry Demon I just didn't know what would be best. My first one I took to be serviced for oil changes at a dealership. I figured I'm handy enough to do it myself but want sure on what oil to use but your reply makes me feel better about it.
Thanks man

You absolutely have to use the brand of oil I use. If you don't your bike will explode into a bazillion pieces. I've seen it happen....
:-)
Go with what demon recommends, look for an oil designed for bikes. Also, follow the owners manual for weight. Other than that, it's up to whatever you like.
