oil problem..... no solution !!!
hello everyone.......
it seems i have a small dilemma....
IT REALLY MIGHT TURN OUT TO BE A LARGER PROBLEM BASED ON MY ANSWERS BACK.
i'm puting oil in my bike right.
changing the filter as well.
for some reason the oil is not reading in my mirror.(glass in which oil is visible through fairings )
maybe it was too full, right..... and i couldn't see the level because it surpassed the fullness.
i just dumped it out..... and it looks the same as when i had 3 (three) quarts in it.
what's going on???
1)not enough oil ???
2)just perfect, and just deal with the way the oil - screen looks.(glass)???
3)it's busted and leaking inside of the bike itself ??? [:@][
][>:]
4)too much oil ???
5)glass is not registering ???
thanks for your time of day everyone!!!

You are standing the bike upright before reading the glass correct? - It is almost a 2 person job - one to straighten it up, and one to look and verify the level.

Bike has to be in riding position aka uprite to check it.I can do it alone but some may need a hand.
Also 3qts isnt enough with filter its a touch over 3.5qts (depending on the filter you use).
make sure you fill the filter before you put it on too... cuz if you don't you'll have to add a little extra... then straight up like everyone said.
When you start it the oil light should go off with in a couple of seconds and you should be good to go! Just watch it the first couple of rides and make sure the drain bolt is torqued! Good Luck

I hate the glass viewers, anyway my 2 cents, The oil you have put in is very clean, often when you put the new stuff in you can't see because of its translucency, especially when it above the top of the window.
They don't use dipsticks on the newer bikes? Did not know that.
My bike takes something like 4 quarts 3.xx liters. if I only has 3 quarts in there it wouldn't hardly register on the dipstick.
As with the person above, new clean oil is hard to see, even on a dipstick when you have light. Many times you need to look for the shiny wet spot.
