Default No cranking

I have a 94 f2 with some starting issues. I recently got a new battery 2 months ago with no issues. I went on a 60 mile trip each way a few days ago and didn't have any issues either. Yesterday I went to start up the bike and nothing would happen. The lights turned on, and when I hit the button all I got was clicking and no cranking. I'm thinking maybe some kind of fuse is blown but don't really know how considering the bike was running fine a few days ago and I haven't touched it since. I put the battery on the tender and it said it was fine, so I'm at a loss for words. Any help would be sweet. Thanks.

sounds like your charging system. either your stator or regulator/rectifier could be bad. check out the f2 section im sure there are plenty of good threads about this issue

If your 100 percent sure your battery is ok, then you may just have a loose connection somewhere. Considering you recently changed the battery, that would be my first suggestion. Check all of the connections. what can happen is the connection is strong enough to run your lights, but not strong enough to crank the bike over, and you get the starter relay switching on and off (the clicking), and it never engages the starter due to lack of power.

Also, look close to make sure your battery terminal bolt is not too long. I've seen bolts that are too long and bottom out on the battery's top before the cable is tight. This can happen especially if you used your old bolts instead of the ones supplied with the new battery.

also what kind of battery do you have ? was it a closed system battery or the type where you had to add the acid in ?

I had to add acid to the battery when I got it. I checked my connections and still got the same noise. I guess it just doesn't make sense to me that it was working fine 3 days ago and now it's not after just sitting there.

Upon further inspection of the clicking, it was coming from the starter relay switch.
