hey yall...glad to join the group! i'm on rrzone as well under the same name. i have a 97 cbr 900rr. it has the air-tech nsr gp fairing kit, full two brothers polished exhaust, cf gauge cover, cf gas tank cap cover, cf levers, cf mirrors, red anodized foot pegs. it is receiving a 12" stretch...i just sent out the swingarm today! wewt! i just changed the oil today so i KNOW it's fresh since i just bought the bike a few weeks ago. no metal on the drain plug so that's good! i used a pureone filter and valvoline 10w-40 motorcycle oil for now, but i plan on running a k&n filter and some motul oil next time. i cant believe a bike uses 4 qts of oil to fill it all the way up...yes the bike was completely level upon filling. i already have a ek 525 150 link x-ring chain sittin aside for the stretch, so all i need to buy is a 31-32" brake line. the only problem i'm coming across with this bike is the headlight. it uses a hl1 flush mount headlight from air-tech, and uses ONE h4 bulb. thing is i bought a brand new headlight from them *previous one was warped and cracked* and a new 55w h4 bulb...and it melted a hole thru the top of the headlight. any reason for cause of this? i was told 55w was stock spec for the headlight, but i'm thinkin it's gettin too much current and gettin too hot for the housing. short in the wire or voltage regulator faulty? i need help with this one cuz i need a headlight! i basically only ride at nite since i work during the day..... another thing is unfortunately i have the air-tech solo tail...so no back seat for the ladiez. i hate turning down so many hott girls for rides cuz of this. it does look good...but i wanna find a 96-97 tail to put on with a back seat...so if anyone has a full tail and everything needed...lemme know. i have a cf v&h ss2r pipe for sale on ebay....check it out. i'll trade it for a tail! pix will come when i get it together from the stretch. thanx....patrick
