Default New Bike - brake issue

I picked up a brand new 07 CBR 1000RR on Saturday - 0.3 miles on the odometer. Trailered the bike home and I notice that there is a definite rubbing noise at the front end - sounds like its the brakes. Brakes work fine but I can hear it both when I ride it and push it with power off.

Forgive me for what may be a stupid question but I have never had a brand new bike before. Is this just a matter of breaking it in...doesn't seem right to me. I feel pretty stupid for not catching it when I rolled it into the trailer but the dealership was pretty busy and on a street with traffic noise.

It's normal. As long as you're not feeling resistance, meaning the brakes aren't binding, you're OK. Disk brakes on all vehicles tend to rub a little, all the time. It's just more noticeable on a bike (the sound).

Thanks Incognito - I'm not gonna worry about it then!
