Talking Neutral lightcuts off bike?!?!

Ok well my neutral light has been flickering lately. When I start up bike it can sit there and idle all day. As soon as I go to sit on it and hold it up straight the neutral light flickers off and so does bike. Then it wont start unless u sit it back on stand then starts up.its a 1999 f4. My question is is it my neutral safety switch or my kickstands safety switch. And if so can I bypass anything to get it running ok for now. Please let me know any ideas or advice u may have thanx

...... The neutral switch sounds like the culprit here man ... cuz it sounds like the bike acts up when you lift it up off the kickstand to sit on it ... and if the kickstand is down and you put it in gear, the bike dies ...

Yup neutral switch.... the tips of the switch are very thin and they taper over time from where the shift drum rubs it in the same spot over and over and over, and eventually wears it down to where it won't push the tip of the switch in enough to make a good contact, so it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't, hence the flickering
