RE: Motorcycle Transport
Don't know if it's already been brought up but here goes nothing: When I went to visit my brother in MD, We had to trailer his bike back to FL. We ended up renting one of the smallest enclosed U-HAUL trailers they had. We loaded the bike (2003 gsxr 600) into the trailer, strapped it down nice and tight, and off we went. We get to the southern Virginia border and check on the bike. apparently we hadn't hooked it up to railings right, 'cause when we opened the door, the bike was laying on its right side. The mirror was broke, the fairing was scratched and the wind screen was cracked. The moral of the story is that if you rent a trailer from u-haul (or from anyone) thats enclosed, make sure that it is SECURELY tied down cause I know from experience that the rails inside the trailer are not the best for tie down strap. Just my $.02
