Default Missing shifts?

Every so often when I'm clutchless shifting my bike wont catch gears and it revs real high, and it sounds like a few BB's or pellets or something are jumbling around inside my transmission somewhere. I've noticed recently that it happens more often than it used to, is this just me or is something wrong? Am I shifting wrong? Bad part is sometimes I dont get to the clutch quick enough and the transmission catches and it jumps foreward on me.

the sound you hear is the faces of the engagement dogs glancing off each other....and its not a good thing to do with frequency. Clutchless upshifting if done right is fine...but its a fine line between "fine" and "cummulative damage" to the tranny.

I've only done it about 6-8 times tops (missed the shift), and it usualy happens 4th to 5th. How exactly is clutchless shifting done correctly? Here's what I do... Apply pressure to the shift lever, then blip off the throttle a little bit while putting a little more pressure on the lever, the lever usualy clicks up and i let off going back on the throttle, this is usualy when i notice the sound of things clanking around in the tranny =X.

cause it's hitting false neutral from it not going into gear completely. then you get that high rev and something sounding like a metal ball bouncing around inside a huge room...then it clicks back in with a huge crunch.

do it with authority, don't click it in...blip off throttle and then get it in with some muscle behind it...FAST not "click" it in.
