I LOST MY ONLY KEY TO MY 05 600RR.. NEED A NEW KEY.. LOCKSMITH SAID CANT MAKE THEM..ANY IDEAS??

 

goto the dealer with your registration, drivers licence and pink slip if you have it and they get one for you... but be prepared to spend $$$$$

 

REGISTRATION IS UNDER THE REAR SEAT OF MY BIKE...BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE IT ON FILE.. IM A REGULAR THERE

 

That sucks...sorry to hear that. I broke off my OEM key in my gas tank (it was real flimsy to begin with) at the pump!! Luckily I had a spare that the guy I bought the bike from gave me that took some digging through boxes of crap to find. I thought I was SOL for sure! Did the locksmith explain why he couldn't make a key for you?

 

^ most locksmiths dont carry the blanks that they would need to make a copy of the key.
and if you are a regular in there and you know the people on a 1st name basis and they know you too then yea you should be cool but usually they need documentation to prove you are who you say you are. also you will need your VIN
