I know that this is a fairly boring topic, but I am literally stuck now. After a rather large argument the girlfriend threw my ignition key away. Its a 1999 cbr600, not worth a great deal, in fact less than the cost of a new HISS immobiliser and key. Does anyone out there have a clue how I get around this problem? I basically need to remove the immobiliser, and I'm sure that owners of track bikes do the same thing, so it must be possible. Oh, I bought it second hand three years ago and due to various house moves (with the army) I no longer have the number supplied with teh keys when new.

 

In the States, we don't have HISS on our bikes, at least on the '99's. I would take it to a dealer, along with the paper work for ownership of the bike, and let them figure it out. I am sure this is easy for them.
