Exclamation Looking for a specific chain IDEAS??

I am currently running a EK 520 zzz 138 links. I want something with the same performance in RED.... Any ideas?? different brand?

I emailed EK and this was their reply:

Although the manufacturer does not support or recommend 520 conversion, if you have to have red 520 chain, it would be 520MVXZ rated for bikes up to 1,000cc/100hp. We know your bike is more powerful than 100hp.

Since the red chain does not normally come in 138 links, contact this wholesaler to see if they can cut 138 links out of their roll:

PERFORMANCE TIRE (Telford, PA)
(215) 257-4650
(800) 523-2542 dealer only

Thank you for using EK chain.

sounds like sound advice to me. I would listen to what they are telling you. If the manufacturer of the chain is saying the 520 chain is too weak for your bike, why would want to use it?

You didn't what your intentions are for the bike or what bike it is, so I am only assuming you are planning on a driving this bike on the street.

I think you may have been led down the wrong path. A 520 chain will not have any noticable performance gains over a 530 chain. They just wear out faster and are weaker. What works on the track to gain a .01 second per lap doesn't transfer over to the street.

Also, why do you need 138 links?

Thank you for explaining that I was confused about it. I bought the bike with this setup... While I have her apart I'll swap to 530.

So this is a stunter bike, right? Having a way huge rear sprocket is the only reason I can see for needing 30 links over stock.
