why do you want a colder temp t-stat?
not sure but the t-stat may be the same spec as some smaller import cars.

I drag race my bike and from the time that i start up to the time i pull on the track it takes a little while and idling around gets my bike up around the 210-220 mark pretty quick so i want a colder temp thermostat to lower the operating temp. i have already swapped my fans over to a auxilary switch so i can turn em on anytime.

note that the hondas run better when a bit warm...
you can dry drilling out our stock t-stat or don't run with one altogether.

I understand most engines run better slightly warm and have done alot of passes ata lot of different engine temps and found over a series of runs that i get consistantly lower times when the engine is between the 180-190 degree heat range. and as far as the article goes it is great but i don't know how well that applies to a motorcycle sportbikes in particular becauese the heat from the engine is caged in the fairing system and has little escape route. The caged up heat rises and that hits the bottom of the air box. At 200-220 degrees it don't tale long before the heat will began to effect theair temp inside the box and we all also know colder air is better air. What i am trying to acheive is a constant engine temp of 180ish while im idling around the staging lane and the pits.

I'm thinking that if you just run straight water with water wetter, you'll achieve better cooling than with a lower temp thermostat. I ran this in my car over the summer and was amazed with how much cooler the car ran.
