Did you try to swap the brake light and running light to see if it made any difference?

Is it possible you have the running light and the license plate light wired up and do not even have the brake light wired up?

Since there is not a difference. I'd get out a multi-meter or at least a test light to make sure your getting power through the brake wire. Its possible you may have blown a fuse or something while installing it. At least that way, you know for certain which wire is the brake wire and if it is in fact working properly.
Your kidding about grounding the resistor and splicing in the power right hah? that makes no sense unless i wanna burn out my fuses or my bike or both.. Never touched my liscense plate light wire. Fuses are also good. i blew a fuse and all my lights go out except my headlight so i know fuses are good

Yea its off Ebay its made by Mototuner. but i looked at every other brand of intergrated tail lights of ebay and they all have identical wiring.. so im guessin identical outcomes. I think im just gonna buy a mean resistor for the running power wire and call it good.

Resistors get wired power to ground not inline justasquid is correct it is just a way of tricking the bike into thinking the old bulb is still there n keeping the flashers at the stock rate
