lame click and nothing...battery?
So after Canadian winter storage my f4 is not starting...I stored my bike in an unheated garage and trickle charged the battery a few times in the last few months (I know...should have brought it inside). When I try and start it the lights on the dash/ headlight ect. all light up and I get a few light clicking noises and then nothing, then I put her on the trickle charger and try again the next day and the same thing. Is my battery just dead? I dont have a volt meter and this battery came with the bike which I got 3 seasons ago. Anything else I should look at? ---should I just buy a new battery?

It sounds like a dead battery. It may even be shorted internally, maybe froze over the winter and could have damaged a cell or two. A load test will be the best way to check it.
Are there any parts stores around that will load test it for you? Autozone, advanced auto.... most larger autoparts stores will have the ability to load test the battery, and usually will do it for free. Then you can tell if its bad or not. Also, if they don't have that, many stores have a tool checkout where you can borrow something like a multi-meter.
Do a check to make sure all of your connections are good.

I got lucky, after sitting another week on the trickle the bike came to life!! A bit strange b/c the light was going off on the trickle charger before meaning it was done charging - but still not enough power for the starter. I wonder if something is still wrong with the battery - or maybe it is just because of the warmer weather now? Anyway, I dont care, I am just pleased to be riding again.

Your battery is probably still on it's way out. If it came with the bike and you've had it for 3yrs... I'd prolly just get a new one. It sucks to be stranded.
I know this because I did the exact same thing with mine a few years back, and I had to call the wife to come give me a jump..... twice!
Glad you're back in the saddle, though. Ride safe!
