Default Kink in throttle cable

When cleaning the carbs, it's probable that I kinked a throttle cable. Now there's like a stop at half throttle. A little pressure pushes past it.

Any way to straighten out a kink or do I need to replace the cable?

Can you see the kink in the cable?

If you can see it, try to bend it back and it should be fine. As long as it doesnt start to unravel, if it does, you will have to replace the cable. Also, you might want to check to make sure the cable is not fraid. A lot of times, the condition you described is from the cable fraiying and single cables will fray out and catch the inside of the case. Another thing that can happen is the inner part of the case can becomes rusty and then looses its smooth case and the cable starts to drag.

You may just want to check that you don't have the throttle too tight on the handlebars. Loose up the collar and see if that helps. Sometimes the case gets too tight and drags on the throttle handle.

Also a good cable lube should be used at least once a year to keep rust from forming inside the cable and letting the cable slide freely. It may just as simple as needed to be lubed.
