Default Throttle cable

I posted a while ago about my throttle cable binding up more and more as i move the bars from left to right. I took it apart as best i could, lubed both ends of the cable with some parafin lube and lubed up the twist grip but its still binding. Ive checked and rechecked the cable path and there are no extreme bends, should i just replace the cable?

you sure it's the cables that are binding and not where it connects to the TB?

also when you lube the cables, you're supposed to lube on one side, hang it and let the lube drip all the way through to the other side.

They aren't that expensive are they? Could you save yourself some time and frustration by buying a proper lengthed throttle cable?

oh it sounds like it's stuck in the middle so it pulls when your bars are turned.

check where it's zip tied to see if you have a kink or something.

Im sure the cable is of proper length, i think its just old and needs to be replaced, i just wanted to get an idea of if these cables need to be replaced, and if i do replace it should i prelube it? Im all for replacing parts when they need to be, just not too sure on this one.

they come lubed...
but just remember, you have to keep lubing them...it sucks but you do...and hang it so that the lube goes through the cable and all the way down to the end...scariest thing would be for it to snap while you're WOT...you'll see sky and then be on your back!

forget my post about seeing the sky...for some reason i thought it was the clutch...but all other statements apply, except if it snaps, you just stuck...unless it gets stuck, then you kiss the sky!
