Default Kill switch on file pump won't prime

Hey everyone, so I put in a new headgasket, replaced spark plugs and have a fairly new wiring harness (maybe 2 years old now). After putting the bike back together, the fuel pump will not prime when the kill switch is on. But when kill switch is off and I press the ignition in it primes.

Sure sounds like something connected backward somewhere... not sure how that is even possible but sure sounds that way.

That is what I was thinking, but I tore everything down and can't find anything with wiring harness that is not plugged in incorrectly. Unless I am blind as hell and missing it. Haha

You may have to go back over the entire wiring harness and double check.... sucks but that will be the only way to know. But the kill switch for instance is either on or off... reversing the wires on that wouldn't be an issue, would just be in the wrong position but once it connects that circuit, would act normally so must be somewhere else.... the other safety switches (Neutral and Sidestand) are the same way, two wires only... they only complete a circuit and reversing wouldn't be a problem .. .in fact have used paper clip to jump them before on bikes that went bad while on rides.... must be somewhere else in the wiring.

Maybe double check the spark plug wires are connected in correct sequence and the coil leads are connected right? Just throwing that out off top of my head, have seen it on a basket case project I bought, previous owner had it all wrong and couldn't get it to start... once sorted fired up and ran.
