Default CBR600 motor

Ok this should probably be in an off topic forum but it might not. I have a 2000 CBR600 motor and wiring harness that I have installed into my 1999 Yamaha Blaster.... The previous owner of the motor is keeping the ignition cylinder and key.
1. I was wondering can I bypass the key with a momentary switch?
2. Will I be able to keep my kill switch?
3. Can I use a tether on this bike for a double kill switch?
4. How can I bypass the kick stand start function?

Also, I am going to take some pictures of the wiring harness and I need help identifying some plugs and cut wires. Thanks in advance

First place to start is get a wiring diagram for the bike in question:
Download the service manual from here:

Wiring diagram is in the back.

1) yeah people do that a lot for track bikes and just install a toggle switch.
Ignition bypass write up.......3 different methods : Honda CBR 1000RR Motorcycle Forums: 1000RR.net
^ one example but if you search for toggle switch ignition or keyless ignition youll find other threads

2) yes it should still use the standard kill switch

3 & 4) I think people actually turn the kickstand switch into a tether/second kill switch. You just need to find out if the switch is normally opened or closed when the kickstands down so you know which way to make the switch work. If im mistaken and thats not how they do the tether then just find out if its open or closed anyway and if its open leave the wires unplugged, if its closed then wire them together to bypass the kickstand switch.

if i remember right.

1. cut 3 wires at base of key cylinder
2. strip
3. tie together
4. Congrats you have hotwired a bike

basically tie two together(look at wireing diagram to figure out), put a quality switch between the two and the other, with secure connections.

handy to make sure it runs.
