so ive bought the above.....and it transpires the key blank has a space behind the blanking panels for a transponder! 99 pence! bargain. hopefully we can get the thing cut and programmed now. someone said a locksmith might do it failing that theres plenty of key cutting places about....

...and the transponder fits nicely into the space in the key. So thats £7 instead of the £23 from the dealer. Now to get the thing cut and programmed

Awesome.
I'll be interested to know if the HISS accepts your id46 chip properly, you can never have too many bike keys.

Agreed . worth a punt i would say for seven quid. if it doesnt work Ill just have to get one from honda. no biggie really. I will let you know but i think bike might be going a away for a wee bit as nrly lost the bike end on the gravel last weekend!

ok quick update. bike is to be mot 'ed weekend so will be getting that blank cut soon. found a guy in one of the thompson key cutters who will have a go. said they dont usually do other peoples blanks but as Im a regular he will try and do it. i f not Ive lost a fiver...no biggie really
