k&n filter
so i have a k&n filter on my car not my bike
but anyways it's time for some maintenance and i need to know how to do it. i know somewhat, gotta clean the filter then re-oil it but wanna know excactly how to do it. any advice would be much appreciated, thanks

No soap...
Use the detergent that comes with a K&N recharge kit. Read the instructions - spray the cleaner on the back-side (the side facing down when it's installed). Let it soak, rinse it from the front side (so as not to jam anydebris in the element) with water. Let it dry naturally, then use your K&N oil on the front side of the element (again, the side facing up when installed). After that has dried (I think it says 25-30 min.), check for any bright red spots - those are places you need to oil again. You'll be able to see what I'm talking about when you do it.
Once you're finished, let it dry overnight (that's what I do and probably why I don't remember specific wait times) and install it when you get up!
