TO JET OR NOT TO JET.....THAT IS THE QUESTION!
Right....here is my dilemma....
98 blade (thats not the dilemma) 919cc with carbs, yosh rs-3 and k+n.
having intermittant probs when cold reving past 4k, that i rekon is due to dirty carbs from bad fuel (caltex vortex). when it runs good its on fire, but like i said....intermittent.
Now...was gonna jet it anyway to get more fuel and make it run harder, but one says once the carbs are cleaned they should be able to supply enuf for the filter and pipe so there's no point, and its money wasted. Another said the reason its stallin at 4k wen cold is cause its runnin lean, and neads more fuel, so clean AND jet. The dyno and factory sites both claim 3-4hp and a smoother curve, but am i really gonna notice it?
both bits of advice come from experienced mechanics.....now none the wiser, i put it to my brethren to lead me down the right path........
