For some reason my left indicator only works in the warm weather.
Just wondering if anyone could tell me how to fix the problem or if they might know where I could pick up a new switch for a CBR250R MC19. It is a Japenese import so I will require a Japenese switch. I can pay for postage and delivery if necessary.

As for your problem I have no idea. Maybe post up in one of the bike specific sections. Although i'm not sure which one to direct you towards.

Sorry about the Indicator, it maybe a broken wire.

 

I had the same problem - fixed by taking the switch apart and cleaning it all up (see part of old thread below). The fact that your switch works in warm weather probably confirms it's full of oily gunk, that loosens up when warm! After a good clean, I personally would stick with silicon spray as a final lube, not grease.

(ii) Taking apart the indicator switch and cleaning it with electrical solvent, then (lightly) silicon spraying it before re-installing - yes, the cleanliness of the indicator switch DOES matter - I could not believe this was originally the main problem that caused my indicators to take ages to fire up (sometimes 3 secs) or not holding its signal.

I've pulled it apart and cleaned it, The indicator works perfectly.
It might be time i found a new bike mechanic as he told me he cleaned it and it still didn't work so he told me to find a new switch.

In Australia we have a saying for mechanics like that ... "tell they're dreamin' !!!"

 

This is why I'm not a fan of mechanics.
